StreamTV – Live Channels & TV is a media player that enables users to watch live channels and other compatible video and audio content. Its functionality centers on the integration of M3U playlists, which users must provide themselves from either a URL or local files. The app facilitates the process of adding these playlists, browsing the available channels, and searching for specific content, offering a framework for personal media consumption without supplying any channels or media directly. This design places the responsibility on the user to manage their content sources.
M3U Playlist Management
The app supports M3U playlists, allowing users to add their channel and media sources by providing a URL or selecting a local file. This feature provides the primary method for populating the app with content, giving users control over which live channels and media libraries are accessible within the player. Users can manage their various channel sources with this functionality.
Content Navigation and Access
Once M3U playlists are loaded, the app provides tools to navigate the available content. Users can browse through their playlists, groups, and individual channels. For quicker access, a channel search function is included to locate specific content without manual browsing. Additionally, users can mark preferred channels as favorites for easy retrieval and quickly return to recently watched content.
Media Playback Capabilities
Beyond live channels, StreamTV is equipped to play compatible video and audio content from the integrated M3U playlists. This means the app acts as a player for various media types, provided they are included in the user’s M3U sources.
User Content Responsibility
It is important to understand that StreamTV operates solely as an independent media player. The app itself does not provide any television channels, subscriptions, M3U playlists, or copyrighted media content. Users are entirely responsible for the playlists and media they add to the app and must ensure they possess the necessary rights or authorization to access the content they choose to play. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any external television channel, broadcaster, or content provider.
